What is “LSVT BIG®?”
LSVT BIG® is a 16 sessions (over four consecutive weeks) program designed to increased amplitude of limb and body movement (bigness) in people with Parkinson disease, which in turn, has shown to improve speed, balance, and quality of life.
“This protocol was developed specifically to address the unique movement impairments for people with Parkinson disease. The protocol is both intensive and complex, with many repetitions of core movements that are used in daily living. Medications for Motor Symptoms
Available motor medications for Parkinson’s disease — which primarily lessen tremor, stiffness and slowness — are grouped into categories according to how they work in the brain.
